Dr. Caitlin Doody

Dr. Caitlin Doody is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and the owner and operator of Rise Wellness LLC, where she is dedicated to treating the whole person through personalized medicine and collaborative patient-centered care. She specializes in uncovering the root causes of illness, using a holistic approach to develop tailored medical plans that address each individual’s unique health concerns and goals. Her practice emphasizes the importance of thorough investigation by providing ample time for patients to discuss their health needs, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes lasting wellness.

As part of her practice, Dr. Doody has a subspecialty in Lyme disease and extensive experience in managing tick-borne illnesses. She provides expert care for pediatric and adult patients dealing with acute and chronic Lyme disease, tick-borne infections, and tick bite management, including prophylaxis. Her work in this field has been informed by years of experience and a commitment to addressing the challenges faced by patients with Lyme disease, particularly those who have struggled with delayed or inadequate diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Doody’s doctoral research explored the relationship between PTSD and uncertainty in illness among adults with chronic Lyme disease, contributing valuable insights to this complex condition. Her research is now complete, with results and future publications forthcoming.

Before founding Rise Wellness, Dr. Doody worked alongside Dr. Steven Phillips for over six years as his full-time FNP, gaining invaluable expertise in Lyme disease care. Her introduction to this specialty began as an infusion specialist in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she treated both pediatric and adult patients.

With over a decade of healthcare experience, Dr. Doody’s earlier training took place at major university medical centers in New York City, where she gained extensive experience in neurology and interdisciplinary care.
