Dr. Caitlin Doody, PhD, MS, APRN, FNP-BC

Dr. Doody is an FNP, PhD, owner, and operator of Rise Wellnes LLC. She works with pediatric and adult patients with acute and chronic Lyme disease, tick-borne/co-infections, and tick bite care/prophylaxis. Dr. Doody practices at the highest level of evidence-based medicine, utilizing therapeutic communication, compassion, and collaboration with patients and their families. Acute Lyme disease and tick bites are treated under an urgent care model for fast and easy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. This urgent care model was created in response to her work with the chronic Lyme disease (CLD) population, who often did not receive prompt or appropriate initial diagnosis or treatments for their Lyme disease.

In her PhD studies, she researched the relationship of PTSD and uncertainty in illness in the adult population with chronic Lyme disease. This research is currently completed. Stay tuned for results and future publications.

Prior to owning and operating her pediatric and urgent care practice, she worked closely with Dr. Steven Phillips as his full-time FNP for over 6 years. However, her initial introduction to patients with Lyme disease was in her prior role as an infusion specialist treating patients throughout the Hudson Valley region of NY, where she worked with both the adult and pediatric populations.

Collectively, she has been working in health care for over 10 years. Earlier work experiences and training were done through large university medical centers in NYC with extensive experience in neurology.

She is professionally affiliated with the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS), The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State (NPA), and the American Nursing Association (ANA).
