Courtney McGuigan

APRN, CRNA

Functional & Integrative Nurse Practitioner

Courtney McGuigan is a board-certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with over 20 years of clinical healthcare experience. She is also the founder of The Well, a functional medicine practice rooted in integrating modern medical science with whole-person healing. Courtney brings this depth of experience and philosophy to her work as part of the Rise Wellness team.

Courtney began her career in the Intensive Care Unit at NYU before earning her Master’s Degree in Anesthesia from Northeastern University. She went on to practice for nearly 15 years as a CRNA at Yale, where she specialized in endocrine surgery, pediatrics, and labor and delivery. In 2019, she presented original research at the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) Annual Conference and was selected as one of the top 10 case reports nationally.

Today, Courtney’s clinical focus is rooted in functional, root-cause medicine and personalized wellness care. She specializes in hormone optimization, thyroid health, fertility support, and nutrition, and continues advanced training in hormone therapy and peptide-based treatments. Her approach emphasizes identifying underlying imbalances and developing individualized, evidence-based care plans that support long-term health.

At Rise Wellness, Courtney provides comprehensive functional health evaluations, including advanced laboratory testing, genetic and gut health assessments, and personalized treatment plans. These may include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, medical weight management, nutritional support, and IV nutrient therapy—always tailored to each patient’s unique physiology and goals.

Outside of the clinic, Courtney lives the wellness principles she encourages in her patients. She enjoys spending time with her four children and husband, nurturing deep friendships, staying active, and engaging in creative pursuits—from painting and embroidery to sourdough baking—bringing balance, curiosity, and authenticity to both her life and clinical practice.
